Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented business development director to spearhead the expansion of our EV charging software customer and partner network on the west coast of the US. As the EV charging market continues to surge, this role will play a pivotal role in driving our company’s growth and establishing Wevo Energy as a leading provider of innovative EV charging software in the West North American market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and capture new revenue opportunities in the EV charging software market
  • Engage in prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and closing deals with potential customers, building and managing strong partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the EV charging ecosystem, including charge point operators, installers, EV charging turnkey service providers, owners and operators of EV charging infrastructure and EV manufacturers
  • Identify and evaluate emerging market trends and technologies to inform our product roadmap and business development strategy
  • Develop and present compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential customers and partners
  • Negotiate and close deals with potential customers, ensuring that contracts are aligned with our company’s goals and objectives
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest regulations and industry trends affecting the EV charging market


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the EV charging or software industry
  • Real estate experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of utility and state incentive programs is a plus
  • Strong understanding of the EV charging market and its dynamics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
